Nereus collects minimal information needed to provide focused work tools and does not sell your personal information.

Nereus is a suite of deep work tools: a desktop app for macOS and Windows, an iOS app, and a Chrome extension. We respect your privacy, collect minimal data, and do not sell personal information.
2. What We Collect
Account and billing:
- Email address for account creation and support.
- Payment information handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or billing details.
Focus sessions:
- Session duration and active/inactive status to coordinate sessions across devices and track anonymized community focus hours.
- This data is not used for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond session coordination.
Website:
- Standard web analytics, including page views and referral source, through our configured analytics tools.
- We do not use cross-site advertising pixels.
3. What We Do Not Collect
- Personal information beyond what is needed for an account or support, contact details beyond your email, or location data.
- Advertising identifiers or tracking data.
- Content of your work or documents.
- Detailed app usage through Apple's FamilyControls framework; app blocking is handled on-device.
- Browsing history; the Chrome extension's domain blocklist is stored and processed locally.
- QR codes scanned by the iOS app; they are processed entirely on-device.
The app does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain your Nereus subscription.
- To process payments via Stripe.
- To sync focus-session state securely between desktop and iOS when enabled.
- To track anonymized community focus hours.
- To respond to support requests.
- To send product updates, which you may opt out of at any time.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Google Cloud for secure backend infrastructure supporting subscription state and session sync.
- Our configured analytics and tag-management services, which may process website events according to their own policies.
6. Data Storage
Session state and settings are stored locally on your device. Limited session-coordination data may be transmitted through secure backend services when sync is enabled. No personal content or activity data is stored on external servers.
7. Data Retention
We retain account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete personal data within 30 days except where required by law, such as billing records.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, cancel your subscription, or request account deletion. Email joe.balkan7@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
Nereus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections and access-controlled backend infrastructure. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems.

Changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted here and, where material, communicated by email or in-app notice.
